Kinesiology Taping
What is Kinesiology Taping? Kinesiology Taping, sometimes also called functional movement taping, is the application of a sticky, flexible and stretchable adhesive tape to benefit musculoskeletal injuries, neurologic dysfunction, and inflammatory conditions. Why choose Kinesiology Taping? Kinesiology Taping is a way to provide awareness, support, and stability to muscles and joints during healing and rehabilitation. Taping provides neurological stimulation and also gently lifts the skin away from the deeper tissues to improve blood and lymphatic circulation and decompress the underlying tissues. Tape can typically be worn anywhere from 3-5 days at a time, depending on the patient and the environment, and can be used during training sessions, and some types of competition. |
